Refund & Cancellation Policy

Tapeout subscriptions are sold and processed by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC). This policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work. It is in addition to any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

1. Free tier

The free tier costs nothing and requires no payment. You can stop using it at any time.

2. Subscriptions and renewals

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or as shown at checkout) and renew automatically until cancelled. Applicable taxes are calculated and collected by the merchant of record.

3. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from your account or via the receipt / customer portal provided by Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC). When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, and it is not renewed after that. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for the unused part of a period unless required by law.

4. Refunds

If something went wrong — for example a duplicate charge, or the Service did not work as described — contact us at support@tapeout.dev within 14 days of the charge and we will review your request in good faith. Approved refunds are issued through Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC) to your original payment method. Because Tapeout may rely on paid third-party model usage once you start working, refunds for consumption already incurred may not be possible.

5. EU/UK right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services. By starting to use a paid feature during that period you may be asked to acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal for the part already performed, to the extent permitted by law.

6. Bring your own key (BYOK)

Charges billed directly to your own model-provider account under BYOK are between you and that provider; we cannot refund them.
